Cory Mason

Cory is a native Californian, an award winning Master Distiller and a Champion Barman.  Prior to his arrival on these shores Cory worked in New York City in a series of management roles in cocktail bars and restaurants, including ‘Employees Only’ which was voted best cocktail bar in the world.  Cory also ran his own New York speakeasy for 10 years and had a cult following for his bootlegged absinthe.

A true perfectionist, Cory’s quest to improve his distilling skills led him to Edinburgh where he completed an MSc at the renowned International Centre for Brewing & Distilling at Heriot Watt University.  Graduating with honours, Cory remained as a visiting scholar both mentoring and conducting research into spirits distillation.

Cory is the consulting Master Distiller behind two award-winning UK distillers, and has developed over 15 commercially released spirits.  Cory’s involvement in TOAD is the culmination of a lot of experience both in distilling and seeing what excites consumers – it’s no accident that he is now in Oxford to create the ultimate craft distillery.
